We will work through the rich and life-giving letter of 1 Peter. This letter is richly relevant in this Coronavirus Season with all its unique trials and temptations.
Peter was an eye-witness of the courage and holiness of Jesus' suffering. Peter writes to Christians who are facing various trials and gives pastoral encouragement about who they truly are in Christ, and the rich benefits of being chosen and loved children of God. He instructs them regarding the demands of being a disciple of Jesus, which include a distinct and holy life bearing witness to the Savior's glory whom they represent and await. This letter guides God's people to appropriately respond to suffering with the living hope given to all true disciples.
